A welcome message from Megan Ronayne, Director of Catapult Network Office
Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to review the opportunities within the Catapult Network Office, I hope you like what you see. It’s an exciting opportunity to join a growing team, with two new roles and one maternity cover for c12 months. We will work closely together to enhance stakeholder engagement and awareness of the Innovate UK Catapult Network. You will help steer the engagement and communications around the Catapult Network collective impact in delivering solutions for economic growth, sustainability and societal challenges.
The Catapult Network is made up of the combined innovation capabilities of nine Catapults and spearheads the deep collaboration amongst Catapults. This activity is supported and enabled by the Catapult Network Office. Catapults work together to tackle cross-cutting industry themes, rise to technological and national challenges that cut across multiple sectors and share learnings across the science, innovation and technology ecosystem.
Whilst individual Catapults have close strategic partnerships with Innovate UK and many Government Departments, the Catapult Network has a combined power to support the Government’s overall ambition to achieve its missions and deliver an impactful industrial strategy.
The Catapult Network Office is evolving to increase external engagement with a high-impact communications strategy, advocating for Catapults with an amplified voice, and implement strategic collaboration across the Catapults to develop large-scale cross-Catapult initiatives and impactful coordination.
In the last year, we have developed a new strategy and work plan, to include a Catapult Network prospectus and supported the engagement of key stakeholders across government with roundtable meetings with Lord Vallance and the Minister of State Sarah Jones, a Catapulting Growth conference in November 2024, and a Parliamentary Reception in February 2025.
2025 is an exciting time for the Innovate UK Catapult Network, and I am ambitious about the role of the Catapult Network Office in strengthening its engagement, and collaboration for the scale-up of innovation to accelerate economic growth.
We are committed to a fair and open recruitment process that looks far and wide for the best talent.
Thank you for your interest in this role and we look forward to receiving your application.

Megan Ronayne
Director of Catapult Network Office
